Barcelona beat Real Valladolid 3-0.
Clement Lenglet explains that the formation switch assured that Jordi Alba doesn’t need to run back all the time.
The Frenchman says that the players were comfortable despite this big change.
“It [the change in tactics] was the coach’s decision, today Alba was able to play well without needing to run back to the defence a lot and that suits him,” Clement Lenglet has explained after the 3-0 win over Real Valladolid.
“We started the game with a different formation and soon were comfortable with it,” the Frenchman added.
Ahead of the game, Ronald Koeman suddenly switched from 4-2-3-1 to 5-2-3 and it worked quite well. The Catalans looked solid at the back and created plenty of scoring chances.
