Laporta provides update on Dembele situation

“Xavi wants him. He is a person we love very much. He played at a great level for half a season. He has not answered us with a yes or no yet. We are calm, we maintain a good personal relationship,” Joan Laporta has said on Ousmane Dembele, as quoted by Victor Navarro.

“We have changed our salary structure. It’s purely a question of finances now.”

As per the latest reports, Dembele was close to agreeing a new two-year deal with Barcelona. Laporta’s words about the club changing its salary structure could be a confirmation that Ousmane has been offered a pay cut.
