“It [the Espanyol game] is an opportunity for us to show the improvement like in the Atletico game and we hope that it will be done tonight,” Joan Laporta has told the media, as per Mundo Deportivo.
“We have the chance of winning La Liga given Real Madrid’s results. I have always been optimistic by nature and I think we will have our chance. (…) We wait for an opportunity to deal the league a blow. If Madrid don’t deliver but we do, it will be favourable for us,” he added.
Real Madrid have dropped points away against Villarreal. If Barcelona win their two games in hand, the gap between the two teams will be just 10 points.
