Laporta says that Barca should’ve won more CL titles with Leo Messi on their team.
The presidential candidate notes that Madrid didn’t win a single CL title during his time at Camp Nou.
“If a Martian comes down to earth and sees the VAR, he would quickly say that it is in favour of Real Madrid,” presidential candidate Joan Laporta has told Marca.

“We’ve missed huge opportunities having the best player in the world [Messi]. We should have won more Champions League titles and we hope to resume Barcelona’s success story in the Champions League. Don’t forget that in my tenure [Real] Madrid didn’t win any.”

We’ve seen VAR favour our rivals several times this season, with the most atrocious case being the penalty awarded to them during the last Clasico.

As for Laporta, he’s believed to be the favourite to win the upcoming presidential election at Barcelona. The Catalan served as Barca’s president during 2003 and 2010 and is responsible for building one of the greatest sides in history.
