Kovacic feels that the defence and a goalkeeper are doing amazing, leading to 3 clean sheets in a row.
The Croatian says that the team has improved a lot since Tuchel’s arrival.
Kovacic says the new manager has explained exactly what he wants from his players.
If Chelsea continue playing as they did against Spurs, they’ll get back into the top 4.
“That’s three clean sheets now and the defence and the goalkeeper is doing amazing and it makes us very confident in them,” Mateo Kovacic told Chelsea’s official site.

“The whole team is doing well defensively, we are doing great and I think we have improved a lot in the last three games.

“We need to keep moving forward like this because there is still a lot of the season to be played and I think we can do great things.

“That’s two wins in a row, plus a draw in his first game, and he’s explained to us exactly what he wants from us. We have started well but I think we can do even better.

“We played well against Tottenham and if we continue like that I think we can certainly get back into the top four. I think with this team we are good enough and we deserve to be there but you have to work hard for it.”

Chelsea beat London rivals Tottenham 1-0 on Thursday night thanks to a Jorginho penalty.

Heung Min Son’s first-half shot in the Spurs game was the first shot on target the Blues conceded since the German’s arrival.

The Blues have won 7 points in 3 games under the new boss and are only 4 points behind Liverpool, who currently occupy 4th place in the table.
