“He’s very good, but he’s playing for Liverpool. He may be an option for the future, but I can’t say more,” Ronald Koeman said in an interview with Sport of Georginio Wijnaldum.
The Liverpool midfielder emerged as a target for Barcelona shortly after Koeman’s appointment at Camp Nou in the summer.
Wijnaldum is out of contract at the end of the season and the Reds are yet to offer him a new long-term deal.
Speaking about his fellow Dutchman last month, Koeman claimed that the midfielder ‘could really bring something‘ to his Barca team.
