The Dutchman thinks it’s good for Messi to give an interview to make sure he’s heard.
He thanks Messi for saying that his appointment was a very good thing to the Catalan club.
“I didn’t watch the interview live, but I’ve read about it in the press today. I think it’s great if he gives an interview to put his opinions across,” Ronald Koeman said during the press conference, as quoted by AS.
On Messi’s claim that Koeman’s appointment was a success, the coach added: “I’m grateful for what Leo said. Everyone likes people saying positive things about them. I remain the same coach who’s trying to take the team forward in a year of transition.”
As a reminder, the Argentine said: “With Koeman, things became more serious, there was an idea for the team and the club. He was a very good appointment, it was difficult with new players and youngsters, but the team is improving.”
Koeman has been in charge of 20 Barca games so far: 12 wins, 3 draws, 5 defeats.
