Jorginho has dropped yet another hint that his future could yet lie away from Chelsea after admitting he would still like to play under Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

The Italian was the subject of huge transfer interest from the reigning Premier League champions ahead of his move to Stamford Bridge in 2018.
Chelsea of course managed to secure his services and despite a slow start to life in west London, Jorginho has emerged as a key player under current boss Thomas Tuchel.

Despite that, questions have emerged over his future. The midfielder himself has admitted that he would be ‘open’ to a return to former club Napoli, whilst he also has just a year-and-a-half remaining on his current contract with the Blues.
It of course remains to be seen if Jorginho elects to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge but he has once again hinted that he would maybe be open to leaving with an admission that he would like to be coached by Guardiola at some point in his career.

Speaking with Ale Oliveira, he said: “I have [a dream to play under Guardiola].
“I don’t know if it will [happen]. But yeah, he’s a reference. When I was a kid, watching his Barcelona win everything with Ronaldinho, Xavi, Iniesta.”

Amid his admission, the 30-year-old once again confirmed that he could have become a Manchester City player before Chelsea swooped for his services.
He continued: “A bid arrived and… you don’t know, man. I’m not going to say it.
“No, I’m kidding. I wasn’t supposed to come to Chelsea, man. I was supposed to have arrived at another club. Another English club.

“And then it happened as it happened and I arrived at Chelsea, which also, hey, with history, that’s Chelsea, right, man. So with Chelsea everything happened very fast. When I saw it, I was already in London and I said ‘let’s go’.”

Jorginho concluded: “But it’s not a secret. If you put it on the internet, you find it. It’s Manchester City.”
