Barcelona director Jordi Cruyff has been spotted attending the Champions League game between Ajax and Benfica.
Here is the list of those players he could keep an eye on.
1. Noussair Mazraoui
Barcelona are said to be close to reaching the agreement to sign the right-back as a free agent.
After the match (Ajax lost it 1-0 and got eliminated), Mazraoui told RTL that there is ‘no agreement yet’.
2. Alex Grimaldo
The left-back is said to be among Barcelona’s priority targets for the summer. Benfica reportedly are searching for his replacement already.
This season, Grimaldo boasts an impressive 14 goal contributions in 41 games for the Portuguese side.
3. Darwin Nunez
The Uruguayan forward is on Barca’s back-up list of centre-forwards. He was even recommended to the club by Luis Suarez one day.
The 22-year-old scored the match winner that sent Benfica to the Champions League quarterfinals. Overall, he has 26 goals in 33 games for his side this term.
4. Andre Onana
The Cameroonian goalkeeper is sometimes linked to Barca as a potential substitute for Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
The 25-year-old didn’t impress much on Tuesday, conceding from the only shot on target by making a mistake at set-piece.
5. Antony
The right winger is quite popular with Barcelona fans and has recently confirmed his idea to play in La Liga one day.
11 goals and 10 assists in 32 games for Ajax this season. Yes, he is a playmaker too in some way.
