Speaking to Premier League productions in 2017, John Obi Mikel went with these legends for his ultimate 5-a-side team: “In goal, it has to be Petr Cech. He has earned us 3 points so many times. He’s been such a great goalkeeper for Chelsea.
“Obviously, [the defender is] Chelsea through and through legend John Terry. Every time I see John behind my I know the defence will be solid.
“Frank Lampard has to be in my team as well. You know at any stage he will pop up and get you a goal.
“Next, I’ll go for the machine, Michael Essien. We used to call him the engine of the team – never gets tired, never gets pushed over.
“The hero of the night in the Champions League final in Munich, Didier Drogba. An honour to have played with him. He has the winning mentality, his goal ratio speaks for itself.
“If anyone can beat this team, bring it on!”
