'If he is happy, I'm happy': Memphis on letting Coutinho take the penalty vs Villarreal

After Leo Messi’s departure, Memphis Depay has been responsible for Barcelona’s set pieces, including the penalty kicks. However, he let Philippe Coutinho take the penalty the visitors got in the Villarreal game. Here’s how the Dutchman explained it after the game.

“He asked me for it. We are a team and we are here to help each other. Besides, it was his moment. He needed it for his confidence. If he is happy, I am happy,” Memphis said, as quoted by Diario Sport.
Coutinho played for just 10 minutes against Villarreal, but it was enough for him to win a penalty and convert it afterwards. This term so far, the Brazilian has recorded two goals in 13 matches for the Catalans.
