A Real Madrid symphatiser confesses he could get drawn to Barca if they keep hardworking gems like Pedri instead of the ‘overrated muppets’ they have now.
“I was always more of a Real sympathiser, but if Barca keep these kinds of likeable, technically skilful players [such as Pedri], in place of the overpriced and overrated muppets that are there now, maybe I’ll reconsider my views,” Jonasz B. commented on The Athletic’s website.
We cannot fully agree with the ‘overrated muppets’ part but it’s true that Pedri was picked ahead of both Antoine Griezmann and Philippe Coutinho in Barca’s latest 3-0 away win at Valladolid.
Apart from getting a Real Madrid fan converted, Pedri has been doing quite a lot for Barca, including a last-ditch clearance and a backheel assist on Leo Messi’s record-breaking goal.
