Legendary Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has revealed how rival, Manchester United hijacked Cristiano Ronaldo’s deal from his former club.

Wenger said Arsenal were used when they tried to sign Ronaldo from Sporting Lisbon in 2003.

According to Wenger, the North London side had scouted the Portuguese and were impressed with his performance.

He said they had even had dinner as the transfer was nearing conclusions before Manchester United hijacked the deal.
