Guardian: Arsenal are considering a swap deal to land Ndidi

  • Mikel Arteta has identified Kevin Volland and Wilfred Ndidi as the Spaniard’s transfer targets.
  • Arsenal could offer Xhaka as part of the deal for Ndidi.
  • The Gunners backline will be heavily revised in the summer, according to the paper.

Arteta said he’ll talk about potential transfer with Arsenal’s executives soon, however, the Guardian believe Mikel has already identified some of the targets: Kevin Volland and Wilfred Ndidi are some of them.

The Leicester midfielder has been impressive for Brendan Rodgers’ side this season and Arteta hopes the Foxes can be swayed by a Granit Xhaka + £40 million offer. The Swiss has been the subject of ire for many Arsenal supporters and is likely to be on his way out this January.

The same Guardian report states Ainsley Maitland-Niles could find himself tied to the right-back position for the rest of the season, as Bellerin struggles to recover from a cruciate injury. The Gunners backline will be heavily revised come summer, though.

Do you think Ndidi will be a good addition to the side? Let us know below.
