After an emotional match against his ex-team Real Sociedad, Antoine Griezmann is in line for another special night — his first El Clasico.
As Barcelona are set to host Real Madrid at Camp Nou, the Frenchman has revealed his feelings ahead of the clash. He admits it will be an exciting day for him.
“It will be my first time, but, as always, I will try to be calm, get prepared and then enjoy myself before, during and after the match with the teammates.
“It is a game that everyone expects and starts talking about four or five days in advance. Everyone is watching it, it is a very important duel for both the fans and the players .
“Since I came to Real Sociedad, it was always nice to watch El Clasico on TV and now it is a dream to play it, to be involved in it.
“One El Clasico that I remember? The one that I liked the most or that surprised me was the ovation of Bernabeu to Ronaldinho in that 0-3 win. He played a great game and the whole stadium recognized it. It happened in November 2005.”
