The plan, for now, is to have Koeman as the first-team coach and Xavi as general manager.
However, the midifelder could end up doing both jobs if the Dutchman fails.
Xavi is expected to join Barca in March or April if Font wins the elecitons.
“If the season ends badly this year, Xavi Hernandez would already be Barcelona’s coach next season, while also being the General Manager,” presidential candidate Victor Font has said during the presentation of his sporting project, as quoted by Onda Cero.

For the time being, Font’s plan is to have Ronald Koeman as the Barcelona coach while Xavi would serve as the general manager.

The presidential candidate has also revealed that, in case he wins the upcoming presidential election, Xavi would join Blaugrana in March or April when the season in Qatar ends. As a reminder, the Blaugrana icon currently coaches Al Sadd, with whom he’s already won four trophies.
