Fans go crazy as Messi opens own store in Barcelona city centre

  • Leo was present at the opening of his own store in Barcelona.
  • Besides journalists, there was a crowd of fans chanting his name.
  • The store is selling men clothes with the Messi signature logo on them.
  • The brand manager of the newly-opened store is Leo’s sister, Maria Sol.

Leo Messi was present at the launching of his new brand of clothes in on Passeig de Gracia, in the heart of Barcelona. Besides the journalists which came to report the occasion, fans and passersby also had the chance to witness the event. 

And just like at the Camp Nou, the fans couldn’t resist chanting Messi’s name!

According to a report from Spanish outlet El Periodico, the new Leo Messi store will be selling clothing items such as T-shirts, hoodies, long-sleeved shirts, jeans and more. Every item has Leo’s logo on them.

Besides, some clothes have the number 10 on them, some have Messi’s print, some are white and sky blue, the colours the 32-year-old wears at the national team.

The head of the project and the brand manager is Lionel’s sister, Maria Sol Messi. She worked together with Virginia Hilfiger, the sister of the popular designer Tommy Hilfiger.

Besides the store, Messi-branded clothes can be purchased on the store’s official website.
