Addressing Cristiano Ronaldo’s links to a move to PSG in the summer, Fabrizio Romano said on Rio Ferdinand’s Vibe with Five show: “I don’t trust these rumours to be honest.
“Never say never in football but as of today, I don’t trust these rumours. I am told that as of today Cristiano Ronaldo and Jorge Mendes, his agent, are not in negotiations with any other club.
“They are not planning for any change from the Manchester United plan they had last summer. With PSG, I don’t think they will go for another legendary player after signing Lionel Messi. They want to go for someone younger, fresher and new. I don’t see PSG signing Cristiano at the moment.”
It’s been said that Zinedine Zidane wants to reunite with Ronaldo if he takes over as PSG manager in the summer. He wants to ensure the dream link-up of Cristiano with Leo Messi in an attempt to help the French giants dominate Europe.
Ronaldo is currently contracted to United until 2023, but could push for an exit if the Red Devils aren’t able to qualify for next season’s Champion League.
