Diogo Dalot names United's biggest mistake in Aston Villa draw

“Difficult. I think you all can see. Difficult conditions, the pitch was not very good for playing football,” Diogo Dalot told MUTV after the 2-2 draw with Aston Villa.

“But I think we did a good first half. We scored two beautiful goals, the way we wanted to play it.

“Second-half a little bit difficult. I think we could come into the second-half a little bit more lively. We conceded some counter-attacks that we shouldn’t have.

“Obviously the pitch was getting difficult, so the game was a little bit more ugly, but in the end, I think we should be happy for what we’ve done this tour.”

From the very start of the second half, it was evident that Aston Villa were the only side who were at it – which was especially disappointing after such a bright first half from United.

Erik ten Hag has already made his disappointment with the second-half display clear, meaning that the players will have to work hard in the remaining two weeks of the pre-season.
