  • The Ballon d’Or standings are currently being published by France Football.
  • Ter Stegen finished in 24th place along with Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly.
  • Antoine Griezmann takes 18th place in the ranking.
  • Frenkie de Jong finished in 11th place, missing out on top 10.

The 2019 Ballon d’Or Standings are currently being made official by France Football, the outled that hands the award. Barca’s goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen was included in the 30-man shortlist for the award and now France Football announce that he finished in the 24th place, which he shares with Napoli’s defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

What’s interesting is that Hugo Lloris finished in 23rd, one position above the German goalkeeper despite having a worse season. Ter Stegen helped Barca reach the Champions League semifinals and win La Liga while Lloris reached the CL final but lost it while finishing only inside top 4 in the Premier League.

Antoine Griezmann finishes in 18th place. It should be mentioned that the Frenchman has been nominated for the award in part for his accomplishments at Atletico Madrid in the last half of the 2018-19 season. The 28-year-old joined Barca over the summer for 120 million euros.
