“We have to be smarter than the situation and put our ego aside. We have to take advantage of Ousmane Dembele until the end of the season,” Dani Alves has told Movistar.
“These kinds of things happen in football, but as long as Dembele is still at Barcelona, he has to defend the shirt. There are still five months left. We have to take advantage because he is here.”
As per the latest reports, Xavi will continue relying on Dembele. The Frenchman will return to the squad for the game against Atletico Madrid.
It’s said that Joan Laporta and other officials were in favour of keeping Dembele in the stands, but it appears that the coach has managed to change their mind.
This term so far, Ousmane has played 11 games for Barca, scoring a goal and providing two assists.
