Ronaldo thinks that if he and Messi played on the same team, he would’ve won more Ballon d’Ors than the Argentine.
He claims Leo is a great player and he wouldn’t have been far off behind him.
“It would be interesting to see both of us in the same team,” Cristiano Ronaldo told France Football back in 2016 when he won his fourth Ballon d’Or.
“I think great players should play together. So if we were in the same team, I think I would have more [Ballon d’Ors] than Leo Messi, but he wouldn’t be far off.
“Everyone knows Messi is a great player. He’s won five Ballons d’Or.”
Since then, Ronaldo and Messi got one more Ballon d’Or each so Leo is still ahead.
The two will have the chance to clash against each other on Tuesday, December 8, as Barcelona host Juventus in the Champions League.
