Chelsea’s potential opponents in Champions League group stage confirmed

The draw will take place on Thursday afternoon.

  • Chelsea now know all of their potential opponents for the Champions League group stage after the playoffs finished on Wednesday night.
  • The Blues will be seeded in pot two and so can’t meet Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk, Borussia Dortmund and Ajax, as well as fellow Premier League teams Liverpool, Man United and Man City.
  • Here are the rest of the teams that have qualified for the group stage:

Pot one: Bayern Munich, Sevilla, Real Madrid, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Zenit Saint Petersburg, Porto

Pot three: Dynamo Kiev, Salzburg, RB Leipzig, Inter Milan, Olympiacos, Lazio, Krasnodar, Atalanta

Pot four: Lokomotiv Moscow, Marseille, Club Brugge, Borussia Monchengladbach, Istanbul Basaksehir, FC Midtjylland, Stade Rennes, Ferencvaros

  • The draw will take place in Switzerland, on Thursday, October 1, starting from 16:00 BST.
  • The games will be scheduled for October 20/21, October 27/28, November 3/4, November 24/25, December 1/2 and December 8/9.
