The Blues’ fans aer slowly moving on from the Frank Lampard era.
Chelsea have removed the banner in support of Frank Lampard before Thomas Tuchel’s second game in charge of the team.
The banner that read ‘In Frank we trust. Then. Now. Forever’ appeared at the Shed End before Lampard’s last match as the Chelsea manager.
After his sacking, fan group We Are The Shed that placed the banner announced that it would remain there for one more home game in honour of Lampard and his achievements at the club.
Still, they also asked for it to be removed after that which has been done by the club.
Frank will forever remain a Chelsea legend – and his achievements in the first season as a manager should not be downplayed – but it’s necessary to move on now, for everyone’s sake.
