Chelsea squad numbers for 2020/21 confirmed after Marina Granovskaia’s final transfer deal

Chelsea have updated their squad numbers after a record-breaking summer in the transfer market.

The Blues spent £222.48m on signings such as Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, and Ben Chilwell, among others.

Frank Lampard’s side also managed to offload Alvaro Moratta for £50m and Mario Pasalic for £13.5m to help balance the books, somewhat.

That was just over a million shy of Manchester City’s transfer record from 2017, which was a whopping £223.8m.

This is still some way off Real Madrid’s record of £272.6m from 2019.

Meanwhile, with Christian Pulisic vacating his number 22 jersey, Pedro giving up the 11 shirt with his departure, and the number 10 being left behind by Willian, other players have taken those numbers on.

With Michy Batshuayi moving out on loan, another player has taken his shirt for the season ahead.
