This is another factor in the former boss’ decision to take a break from the game.
Chelsea are still paying Frank Lampard his £75,000-a-week salary, according to The Sun, with the full compensation sum amounting to £1.8m.
It is a break from tradition when the club paid the money they owed to their former managers in full which sometimes led to outrageous expenses:
Lampard’s compensation is already small in comparison, but the club decided against paying up immediately.
As a consequence, if Frank decided to accept another job before his contract with Chelsea expires this summer, he’ll lose a chunk of the money he’s due.
As per the source, it is one of the factors why Lampard is going to take a break until the summer – although the main reason is still the intensity of his Chelsea spell that ended abruptly on January 25.
