With Chelsea looking likely to make a last ditch effort to sign Declan Rice from West Ham, they could be about to offload a current midfielder of their own.
The Blues have already spent big this window, so money from player departures will be welcome.
With the current pandemic playing havoc with clubs finances, this transfer window was always going to see many clubs struggling to buy players and look at loan and swap deals instead.
A loan deal was always a likely scenario for Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko. And according to a report from Le10Sport in France, Paris Saint-Germain are weighing up a move to sign him.
The deal will be an initial loan deal costing PSG £4.6million with a purchase option of £41million.
This could end up becoming a welcome windfall for Chelsea if the French club did decide to turn the move permanent next summer.
But until then, offsetting Bakayoko’s wages and getting a loan fee will be a huge bonus for Chelsea.
