Pique hasn’t retired yet but he’s already getting involved in the club’s life outside the pitch.
- Gerard Pique is willing to help Barcelona raise funds for the development of Espai Barca, a multi-purpose sports centre, Radio Marca say.
- The defender could act as an intermediary between the club and various businesses interested in funding the project.
- This wouldn’t be the first time Pique assists Blaugrana through his company Kosmos Group; for example, he helped the Catalans strike a deal with their current sponsor Rakuten back in 2017.
- The Espai Barca project was proposed back in 2014; the sports centre would serve as a home arena for the club’s basketball, futsal and other teams.
