Fernandes says he doesn’t really pay attention to what others are saying about his penalty goals.
He indicates that Klopp’s comments are probably meant to put pressure on referees to not give United penalties going forward.
Bruno makes it clear that his only job is to score the pens when he gets them.
When asked on his thoughts on Jurgen Klopp moaning about Man United’s penalty record this season, Bruno Fernandes said: “I don’t hear (them)! I don’t care, honestly.
“You always see what people say but I really don’t care. I’m not focused on what they are saying.
“I played in Portugal and when you play for Sporting, Benfica and Porto are always talking about that kind of stuff – sometimes to put pressure on the referee, sometimes just to make some noise in the press.
“But, for me, the main point is when we have a penalty, if I go to take the ball to the penalty spot, I have to do my job.”
Bruno doesn’t seem to care about Klopp or Jose Mourinho’s constant jibes at his penalty record. The fact that the Portuguese midfielder won his 4th Premier League Player of the Month award recently proves his incredible quality and he’ll need to be at his very best to put in a memorable performance at Anfield to defeat Liverpool on Sunday.
