Barcelona had three other players in the running as well. Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Frenkie de Jong and Antoine Griezmann have finished in 24th, 11th and 18th place respectively.
Moreover, Ter Stegen was also nominated for the inaugural Yachine Trophy for the best goalkeeper which has been claimed by Alisson Becker, with the German coming in second.
The ceremony was held at Theatre du Chatelet in Paris.
