FC Barcelona have officially announced that Ansu Fati has signed a new deal at the club. The new contract will keep him at Camp Nou at least until 2022. Barca have the option to extend his stay by two years.
The 17-year-old’s new release clause raises from €100m to €170m. If the youngster is promoted to the first team in the future, the release clause will increase to €400m.
Interestingly enough, Fati’s previous contract with Barcelona also ran until 2022. However, the new deal is expected to improve his wages as well increase the release clause so no club considers triggering it.
