Barcelona beat Juventus 2-0 in Turin on Wednesday night, and afterwards the Catalan club’s Twitter account looked to create a reaction by pointing to Lionel Messi as the GOAT (greatest of all time).

The Argentine has had a sporting rivalry with current Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo, who had to miss Wednesday’s match after testing positive for COVID-19, and in his absence, those in charge of Barcelona’s Twitter saw an opportunity to poke fun at the aforementioned rivalry.

“We are glad you were able to see the GOAT on your pitch, Juventus,” it read, accompanied by a loving emoji.

The Bianconeri responded in a friendly manner, making clear that Cristiano should be back for the match at the Camp Nou on December 8.

“You probably looked it up in the wrong dictionary,” Juventus replied. “We’ll bring you the right one at Camp Nou.”
