Barcelona to propose three-player swap deal to Man City involving Pep Guardiola prospect.
Barcelona have put forward a potential three-man swap deal with Manchester City in an attempt to coax youngster Eric Garcia back to the Nou Camp. Pep Guardiola’s prospect still has two years remaining on his current deal.
Garcia has impressed for City this season after signing from Barca in 2017.
The 19-year-old has become a consistent starter in Guardiola’s team over the last few months of Premier League action.
But his performances have perked the ears of Barca chiefs, who may see him as the future of their defence.
And according to Sport, Barca will offer Nelson Semedo to City in exchange for Garcia and left-back Joao Cancelo.
Cancelo hasn’t settled into life in England as well as he’d have hoped since signing for the club.
Semedo has put in some sterling performances for Barcelona over the past season and is seen as more valuable then Cancelo.
Sport also say that the swap would involve just players, with no money being exchanged.
Guardiola, however, is very keen on keeping Garcia at City.
