  • Jean-Clair Todibo will most likely move on loan to AC Milan.
  • The Rossoneri will have the chance to buy the defender for €20m next summer.
  • The player’s decision is what’s left to finalise the deal.

Barcelona and AC Milan have reached an agreement over Jean-Clair Todibo’s loan move, Antonio Vitiello from MilanNews reports.

The Italian club will supposedly have an option to buy the defender for €20m at the end of the season.

However, the decision of the player himself is needed to close the deal.

Earlier on, it was reported that Barca were mostly in favour of Todibo’s loan move to Bayer Leverkusen. Unlike Milan, the Bundesliga side will take part in the final stage of the Europa League in spring. Besides, things aren’t going any good for the Rossoneri who find themselves in the 11th position in Serie A.

The Frenchman was brought to Barca from Toulouse for a modest sum of €1m. His market value has grown up after a year as Transfermarkt value him at €10m.

Barcelona’s fourth-choice centre-back after Pique, Lenglet and Umtiti, Todibo struggles to find a place in the first team, although he has already been tested three times this season. Besides, the starlet had an impressive performance against Inter Milan in the Champions League’s group stage fixture.
