Barcelona continue working on their plan B in case Erling Haaland doesn’t end up at Camp Nou this summer and one of the alternatives is said to be Benfica’s striker Darwin Nunez.
According to Diario Sport, the Catalans are willing to pay up to €50m for the 22-year-old. His market valuation has recently gone up as he’s having a good season in Portugal.
This term so far, Darwin has scored 27 goals and provided three assists in 34 matches for Benfica. Blaugrana have been following him for several seasons now.
Despite the good numbers, Barca don’t want to pay above €50m for Nunez as they believe they could sign Real Sociedad’s goalscorer Alexander Isak at a similar price.
