Barca identify 2 targets to strengthen left-back position next summer of

Barcelona want to sign a left-back next summer and have already come up with a shortlist of two players, Diario Sport’s Lluis Miguelsanz reports.
Jose Gaya is the main target, with his contract at Valencia set to expire at the end of the season. However, the left-back wants to extend his deal and continue with Los Che.

The backup option is Alejandro Grimaldo. Benfica have reportedly lowered their asking price of €30m since the left-back’s contract expires in 2023. The Catalans also considered making a move for him this January.

The new full-back will presumably compete with Jordi Alba for the starting spot.
