Barca’s journey in Saudi Arabia didn’t start as planned.
According to Diario AS, Barcelona’s team bus arrived late at the Ittihad stadium where they were set to start training at 16:30 CET. The reason for this is quite simple — the driver mixed up the destinations.
The same source claims that the driver headed off to the King Abdullah Sports Stadium, which is 40 minutes away from the stadium Barca needed to arrive at. Eventually, the bus got stuck in a traffic jam.
As a result, the press conference has been delayed until after the training session, as Barcelona have officially revealed. Ernesto Valverde and Sergio Busquets are the ones expected to appear before the journalists.
The Catalans are currently in Saudi Arabia for the Spanish Super Cup. They are set to take on Atletico Madrid in the semifinal. Should Barca beat the Rojiblancos, they would meet the winner between Real Madrid and Valencia.
