France’s winner came courtesy of Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante. The 29-year-old struck the only goal of the game on 53 minutes to give the visitors the win.

Didier Deschamps’s men should have been in front before then. Griezmann set up Anthony Martial for a great early chance, and it was not the only opportunity the Manchester United man wasted.

Anthony Martial attempted four shots in the first half for France vs. Portugal, no player attempted more.

The victory puts France in the Nations League finals at the expense of holders Portugal who suffer a rare defeat.
