Alex Iwobi sends a heartfelt message to the Arsenal fans: 'Big love to a special club'

  • The Nigerian was sold in an exhilarating deadline day.
  • The 23-year-old will now represent Everton.
  • The winger grew up supporting Arsenal and it was a ‘dream’ to play for the club.

Alex Iwobi couldn’t leave without saying a proper goodbye to everyone. The winger took to social media to express his eternal gratitude to everyone who helped him make it at his boyhood club.

“I grew up dreaming of playing for Arsenal, following in the footsteps of some of my hero’s. I’m proud to say that at 23 I’ve achieved one of my dreams.

“From playing for Arsenal kids to 149 senior appearances. It was an honour to play for the club I supported as a boy. I’ve enjoyed every minute of it.
