Wan-Bissaka provided the assist for Martial’s goal.
The defender credits Bruno for helping him with advice and tips to improve his attacking abilities.
Aaron adds that Fernandes often pushes his teammates to do better.
“They like me to go up and link with the attack, when I can,” Aaron Wan-Bissaka told Manchester United’s official matchday program.
“He [Bruno Fernandes] helps everyone – on and off the pitch. He tells me before the game what he thinks I should do and which positions he thinks I should get into when he gets the ball, and where I should be.
“He has done it with the other players, and I can see that, along with the impact that he has made.”
A lot has been said about Wan-Bissaka’s lack of contribution to the attack but his assist for Anthony Martial’s goal in the 2-1 triumph over Aston Villa was a sign of progress.
As far as Bruno is concerned, he’s been the best thing to have happened to us in 2020 – both on and off the field, like Aaron says.
