Ronaldo Nazario is hailed as one of the greatest players of all time, while also being one of the biggest ‘what if’s’ in football history.

A compilation video has emerged of the Brazilian, and it’s easy to see why so many fans still cheer his name, 12 years after he left Europe for good.

‘R9’ played for teams such as PSV, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Inter Milan during his career, but his stints at Barcelona, Inter, and Real Madrid showed that if he stayed healthy, the greatest of all time debate wouldn’t be a two-horse race like it is currently.

With two World Cup triumphs to his name, Ronaldo is also still the youngest recipient of the Ballon D’Or, winning the highest individual accolade in Football at the age of 21, the year he moved from Barcelona to Internazionale.

He broke the world transfer record twice before his 21st birthday.

Based on currency fluctuation, he'd be the most expensive player in history at €433m.

The Brazilian legend ran amok in Spain and Italy in those years, scoring 47 goals in 49 games in the 1996/97 season for Barcelona, and then continuing where he left off at Inter, scoring 34 goals in 47 games in the 1997/98 season.

A video of his exploits for these two teams, as well as his relative success as a Galactico for Real Madrid showed how Ronaldo was the nightmare to the majority of defenders in the 90’s to 00’s.

The video uploaded on YouTube by the user named Hossam Ronaldo, proved the sheer ability the Brazilian had.

The mercurial striker was also notably remembered for his miraculous run in the 2002 World Cup, winning his second and Brazil’s fifth World Cup overall.

The Brazilian infamously missed the final of the ’98 World Cup and had played only 15 games for Inter in the season following up to the Tournament after numerous injuries.

Ronaldo went on to win the Golden Boot of the Tournament and his haircut for the 2002 Final will always be remembered in football history.
