£47million bid made – Man Utd told to offer £30million more to get signing done

Serbian international, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, has been linked with Manchester United for a long time and he could end up leaving Lazio in the summer transfer window.

According to Il Tempo (via Lazio Press), so far, only the Red Devils have submitted an offer to hire the services of the versatile midfielder. It is reported that Man Utd made a bid worth 55 million euros (£47million) but it was way too low.

The Italian news source have mentioned that club president, Claudio Lotito, is demanding a fixed fee of 90 million euros (£77million) to sell his prized asset.

Therefore, Man Utd have to raise their initial offer by £30million in order to meet the asking price set by the Serie A side.

It is stated that the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus have been interested in the 27-year-old midfielder. However, with the departure of Leonardo, the French champions are no longer pressing to lure him.

On the other hand, the Old Lady are mainly focusing on signing Pogba from Man United to strengthen things in the center of the park.

So, it will be fair to say that Man United have a clear run at the former Genk man but should they offer £30million more to get his signing done?

Man Utd will lack serious quality and depth in the midfield with the departures of Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba in the summer. In such a scenario, a top star must be signed.

Milinkovic-Savic was the most creative midfielder in the Italian league last term. He made 37 appearances in the competition and directly contributed in 22 goals (11 goals and 11 assists). In your view, should Man Utd bid £77million to secure his signature?
