Need to transfer money from your diamond account to another bank that’s halfway across the world? A guide on how to transfer money from Diamond Bank transfer code would really be helpful.
Ever since the invention of USSD codes,
it’s been super easy to carry out transactions that would have ordinarily required that you be in the physical vicinity of your bank branch.
Now that we have established the existence of a USSD code for transferring funds from one Diamond Bank account to any other account elsewhere,
the next thing to learn is how to use it.
The good thing about the Diamond bank transfer code (and the Bank itself) is that it just recently supported the Direct Mobile Transfer Protocol,
which means that a transfer can be initiated and completed on any kind of device,
regardless of operating system or internet capabilities (it doesn’t require the internet).

To get started, you need an active account with Diamond bank, and a phone number.
It’s not just a random number,
it has to be the number that was registered with the account.
With that established, you can then simply use the codes depending on how you want to.
The base USSD code is *710# but it can either be used in *710*777*Account Number*Amount*PIN# or *710*710*Account Number*Amount*PIN# strings.
First one is for transfers from your Diamond Bank to other banks,
while the other one is for same bank transfers.
That’s all you have to do to complete a transfer on your phone,
and that goes for any kind of mobile phone you use.
However, if you are finding difficulty in using these diamond bank transfer codes,
you can easily just use their mobile application which you can download and use instead; bear in mind that would need the internet all through.
Conclusion
If you are still reading this, I’m afraid to tell you that it’s late by at least 2 years; you might have already known that, especially when you have a Diamond account or about to open one.
Diamond bank no longer exists as one bank, and has since merged with another bank; Access Bank.
While we cannot confirm from the banks themselves,
we suspect that the USSD codes have been shelved for those of the parent bank now.
At the time of this writing, you can still check if the USSD codes still work,
and in an event when they don’t, stay tuned to this post, as it will get updated with the new ones when we get them.
