Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum has set up a panel to implement the national minimum wage and consequential salary adjustments for workers.

He mandated the 10-member panel to submit its report to him within three weeks.

Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Usman Shuwa, disclosed yesterday in Maiduguri, saying the panel members were drawn from leadership of various labour unions and organisations.

“The Commissioner for Justice, Kaka Shehu, will serve as head on the government side of the committee, while Chairman of Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria (MHWUN), Inuwa Yusuf, would lead the labour side on the panel,” he said.
