A traditional ceremonial rite was reportedly held at Isale Eko in Lagos Island to welcome the Oba of Lagos and his staff of office back to the palace.
You would recall that the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu was forced to leave his palace on Wednesday, October 21 after hoodlums stormed his palace, vandalized the place and took away his Staff of Office, a day after the Lekki toll gate massacre.

In a video shared online, a lot of traditionalists could be seen gracing the occasion.
In the last few weeks, Nigeria has been enmeshed in a series of crises after the EndSARS protest against police brutality was hijacked by thugs.
A lot of properties were destroyed across the country and Lagos state alone was said to have lost N1 trillion worth of properties to destruction by hoodlums.

According to report, the monarch will be returning to the palace on Wednesday, October 28.

The rites taking place today is to welcome the staff back in to the palace. The Oba is expected in the palace tomorrow October 28.
