The Ebonyi State Governor, Engr. Chief Dave Umahi, yesterday inspected the ongoing 300-Bed capacity coronavirus treatment and isolation centre in Abakaliki, the state’s capital.

Governor Umahi had in his last statewide broadcast on Wednesday stated that the project will be completed and ready to be used in a week’s time.

Keeping to his words, the project is nearing completion as the furnishing has begun and will be put to use in a few days’ time.

In a related news, the Former Governor of Ebonyi State Martin Elechi, has joined the league of philanthropic Nigerians combating the spread of novel Coronavirus in the country by donating the sum of ₦500 thousand.

Elechi on Friday donated the sum five hundred thousand Naira (₦500,000.00) to Ebonyi State Government to aid the COVID-19 Fight and help Ebonyians cushion the effect of deadly COVID-19 pandemic.

Afriupdate reported the support from the former Governor, Chief Martin N. Elechi (MFR) & His family, was received on behalf of the State Government by the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonnaya Nwifuru.
