The exited beneficiaries of the Nigerian government’s N-Power scheme have criticised Sadiya Umar Farouq, the minister of humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development, for still not settling the outstanding stipends of disengaged volunteers till date.

It would be recalled that Farouq had in a tweet on October 27 promised that “all legitimate claims and those on verified list will be paid before the end of the year”.

But this online news medium can authoritatively report that few days to the end of the year, the minister and her ministry, which oversees the N-Power scheme, have not paid outstanding stipends of Batch A and B beneficiaries. This, despite the exited beneficiaries submitting the necessary papers to the right authorities to do the needful.
