Meanwhile, the Nigerian government’s N-Power Scheme has assured beneficiaries that payment for January stipend “will commence shortly”.

One beneficiary identified as Jibrin Ibrahim had lamented the delayed payment on Twitter on Friday.

Replying to Ibrahim, the official account of the Job Creation and youth Empowerment scheme of the Nigerian Government offered their apology.

Apologies for the delay, payment will commence shortly.

Recall that as N-Power beneficiaries continue to bemoan the non-payment of their January stipend, Nigeria’s Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Farouq has visited Maiduguri, capital of Borno State, on a sympathy meeting following the rising spate of killings by Boko Haram insurgents in the city.

On Sunday, over 30 travellers were attacked and killed just about 25 kilometres from Maiduguri.

Nigerians worked and the ministry decide not to pay us for almost two months now, is that one not corruption in the highest order????, Sadiya Umar you are the most incompetent woman in the history of womanhood, how do u expect us to go to our respective PPAs? without transport, food and other things, were you not told that this programme is to help Nigerians out of extreme poverty? what have you done to leash the Nigerians from crying for help? have you not been told that the programme was running smoothly followed by prompt payment when it was under Vice President? were you not told that no Nigerian will ever believe any word that comes from you? because you desired lies and fakes promises than truth and actions…….. This is Nigeria where truth and good works is unlikable but evil and incompetent leaders is admirable…………….please pay us our token.
