The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Chairman, Kebbi State branch, Comrade Umar Halidu Alhassan, has appealed to the state government to implement the special salary scale approved by President Muhammadu Buhari for teachers in the state.

He made the call, yesterday, while fielding questions from newsmen in Birnin Kebbi.

According to him, the state government needs to emulate the Federal Government by approving the same increment for teachers in Kebbi.

“What the President did for teachers is overdue, they should be the first people to be given good packages,” he stated.
