Kaduna State Governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has revealed that he infected four persons with the deadly Coronavirus infection, Afriupdate reports.
El-Rufai who made this known while giving an update on measures put in place to curb the spread of the disease in the state said he got infected in Abuja.
The Governor, who doubles as the index case in the state said the State had tested about 400 people and now has three testing centres.
While adding that Kaduna have been successful in closing down the state, in reducing the traffic in, every case in the state has been imported.
Part of the statement reads, “I was the first case, fortunately, I would say, because it served to scare everyone about reality. COVID-19 is real, it’s not a joke. I was the first case, I got it in Abuja and infected four other people, all of us are okay now.”
Recall that Nigeria on Friday reported 238 fresh cases of the novel coronavirus pandemic, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 2170.

Lagos currently has higher cases of the virus with 1006 cases in sum followed by kano state having 311 confirmed cases as reported by the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday 1 May 2020.
Meanwhile, Kaduna State has a total of 35 confirmed cases of the disease.
